Board of Directors & Executive Committee
Our Board is responsible for setting the purpose, values and strategy for the Group and for overseeing the implementation of the behaviours expected of all employees. It sets the ‘tone from the top’ and seeks to ensure there is a strong and effective system of corporate governance across ESCO.
The main priorities of the Board are primarily:
- Governing the organization by establishing broad policy and setting out strategic objectives.
- To provide leadership and guidance to support the Group’s strategic priorities, with consideration to the Group’s financial performance
- To concentrate on compliance and risk management processes and procedures to ensure they are fully embedded across the Group
- To focus on flawless execution, maintaining our bidding discipline in order to secure new orders; and
- To ensure succession plans are in place throughout the organization.
We invest a great deal of time and effort in appointing our Board members to ensure the right balance and mix of directors can be obtained. We consider experience, skills, diversity, and existing time commitments.
Although our Board gender diversity objectives have been met, the Board recognizes that much work remains to be done in terms of diversity, both within our senior leadership positions and across the organization remains committed to improving diversity as a key factor in our strategic success.
